Bordalas unclear on Greenwood futureCoach says Man Utd yet to make decisionGetafe keen to extend striker's loan dealWHAT HAPPENED?
Getafe are keen to extend Greenwood's stay with the club as they are delighted with the progress he has made on loan from United, having scored six goals and set up five more in La Liga. Greenwood was urged to resume his career away from United after a public backlash against the club's initial decision to reintegrate him into the squad after charges of attempted rape, assault and coercive and controlling behaviour against him were dropped last year. Getafe president Angel Torres has declared that he wants the club to extend Greenwood's loan agreement with United for another season.

Asked whether Greenwood would remain at Getafe next season, Bordalas told a press conference: "We don’t know. In the end his club has to decide their intentions with the player. Then we will also know the boy’s intentions for his future. But I can’t tell you. We are happy with his behaviour and his performances."

United's former chief executive Richard Arnold made a U-turn on his initial decision to reintegrate Greenwood into the squad but new minority shareholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe has said he still has to decide on what to do with the striker. Last month, the INEOS chief opened the door to Greenwood potentially returning to United.
He told reporters: "There is no decision that’s been made. The process will be: understand the facts not the hype and then try and come to fair decision on the basis of values which is basically is he a good guy or not, and answer could he play sincerely for Manchester United well and would we be comfortable with it and would the fans be comfortable with it."
DID YOU KNOW?
Getafe stand to profit from any future sale on Greenwood after the club agreed to insert a 20 percent sell-on clause in the loan contract they agreed with United last year on transfer deadline day. Barcelona have reportedly declared their interest in signing Greenwood permanently and United sporting director John Murtough met with Barcelona counterpart Deco earlier this month. Juventus have also been cited as a potential destination for Greenwood, along with Atletico Madrid.
