There was plenty of promise surrounding Dominic Solanke when he secured a move to Liverpool from Chelsea in 2017.
However, the striker’s progress at Anfield has been slow-moving as he is struggling to earn a spot in Jurgen Klopp’s team.
In fact, the 21-year-old has made just 27 appearances for the first team, scoring one goal and creating a single assist.
It was widely suggested during the summer transfer window that Solanke should seek a loan move for the 2018-19 season, but he ended up staying put at Liverpool.
The attacker, who is valued at £9m by Transfermarkt, has not been included in the squad for any Premier League game so far this season.
The only time that he has been named in a matchday group was for Liverpool’s EFL Cup 2-1 defeat to Chelsea, in which Solanke did not come off the bench.

The striker has faded into the background, but he caught the attention of Liverpool fans on Thursday night when he scored in a 7-0 thrashing of Andorra.
