Orlando boss Oscar Pareja later told reporters that McGuire had worn a shoulder band at the start of the game but did not reveal the exact extent of the striker's injury. However, journalist Mike Gramajo reported that the player seemed in 'good spirits' as he left the stadium.
USA Today Sports DID YOU KNOW?
McGuire was heavily linked with a move to England with Blackburn Rovers and almost completed the move in January. However, the club delayed the registration of the player on the last day of the transfer window and missed the deadline by one minute, resulting in the 23-year-old having to return to the United States to play with Orlando City.
WHAT NEXT FOR MCGUIRE?
Orlando City will take on Columbus Crew next week and will hope to have a better understanding of McGuire's fitness by then. The attacker is aiming to be part of Gregg Berhalter's USMNT squad for the Copa America in June.
