da 888casino: The reserve goalkeeper made a crucial mistake to see his side fall out of the Spanish cup early, with a familiar foe coming back to haunt Los Blancos
da bet7: An error from reserve goalkeeper Andriy Lunin, combined with the typical attacking brilliance from Antoine Griezmann, saw Real Madrid fall to Atletico Madrid in the Copa del Rey. A classic chaotic cup tie needed extra time to settle things, but individual errors from Los Blancos, coupled with two moments of brilliance from Atleti, handed Diego Simeone's side a deserved 4-2 win.
Bellingham came within inches of opening the scoring, beating two defenders before cracking a left-footed shot off the bar from close range. Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak also played a role in keeping Los Blancos out, making a duo of neat saves to deny first Rodrygo, then Vinicius Jr.
Atletico took the lead, though. Samuel Lino scored the goal, latching onto a deflected ball and finishing into the bottom corner after a passage of loose Madrid defending.
Oblak had an unfortunate role in the Madrid equaliser, punching Luka Modric's free-kick into his own net. Lunin responded with a goalkeeping error of his own to give Atleti their second, punching an awkward cross off the leg of Antonio Rudiger under seemingly little pressure, into the path of a grateful Alvaro Morata — who finished into an open net.
Rodrygo came close to levelling the contest, his poked effort cannoning off a defender and onto the bar. His replacement, Joselu, did one better, nodding Bellingham's sliced shot into an empty net, which survived a VAR check to set up an a pulsating extra 30 minutes in the contest.
Griezmann flipped the scoreline back to Atleti in extra time, creating an angle before rifling an effort into the roof of the net past a helpless Lunin. Madrid had the ball in the net in the 110th minute, but Bellingham was adjudged to have been offside. And Atleti bagged a decisive fourth late in extra time, Rodrigo Riquelme completing a fine fluid attack to knock the defending champions out of the competition at the last-16 stage.
GOAL rates Real Madrid's players from the Wanda Metropolitano…

Andriy Lunin (4/10):
Could have saved Lino's goal. Entirely culpable for Morata's, failing to control a cross. You can't make mistakes in games as big as these.
Dani Carvajal (4/10):
Made the wrong call in deciding not to track on Atleti's opener. Didn't get forward enough, and was uncharacteristically sloppy.
Antonio Rudiger (5/10):
Inadvertently flicked the ball into Lino's path to hand the home side a 1-0 lead. Did the same again for the second. An unfortunate night.
Nacho (6/10):
Made a crucial defensive intervention late on. Was otherwise reasonably tidy — which is kind of his thing.
Ferland Mendy (6/10):
Solid at left-back. Won his tackles, covered space well. Looked tired when he was taken off.

Federico Valverde (6/10):
Covered ground effectively in central midfield. Always up for the fight, and made some interesting forward runs. Probably unlucky to be subbed.
Eduardo Camavinga (7/10):
Charged with handling Antoine Griezmann, which he did a mixed job of. Made some impactful forward runs, though. Better at left-back.
Luka Modric (6/10):
His passing was accurate, and he found spaces against a dogged defence. However, he was often physically outmatched. Not exactly his finest game.
Jude Bellingham (8/10):
Another excellent showing in an attacking role. Made plenty of driving runs, put one off the bar after 10 minutes. Assisted Joselu, even if he was trying to shoot.

Rodrygo (6/10):
Caused problems early, but faded as the game wore on. A bit slow on some of his passing in the final third. Unlucky to see an effort hit the bar late on.
Vinicius Jr (7/10):
Dangerous from the off. Created chances, and linked up well with Rodrygo. Didn't let the relentless taunting and kicking get to him too much. Gave the ball away to Griezmann and was then easily beaten for the Atletico third.
Getty ImagesSubs & Manager
Brahim Diaz (5/10):
Booked within 60 seconds of coming on. Ineffective after that.
Toni Kroos (5/10):
Brought on for midfield control, which he didn't really offer.
Joselu (8/10):
Bagged the equaliser shortly after coming on. He looks awkward, but is always immensely effective.
Aurelien Tchouameni (N/A):
Wasn't really up to the pace after entering the game.
Dani Ceballos (N/A):
Thought he'd scored an equaliser, but saw the flag go up.
Fran Garcia (N/A):
No time to make an impact.
Carlo Ancelotti (5/10):
Went for basically a full-strength lineup. Madrid turned in a mixed performance, often looking fragile defensively, but excellent going forward for stretches. Individual errors cost them here, which the manager could do little about. No treble this year…
